Title: Vec300 Controller - Detailed spec sheet?!
Post by: Braddubya on April 16, 2022, 10:57:24 PM
Is there a detailed spec sheet somewhere for the Vec300 controller?

I am trying to determine is my 24s LiFePO4 battery plan will be too much voltage for the 72v version. It will charge to 87.6v instead of the li-ion 20s 84v

I am guessing that it will be fine but its a bit of a risk when the only data given for the controller voltage is the nominal 72v. Anyone know or have a spec sheet?

Thanks!
Brad

Hi Brad,

The 72V controller settings have a default High voltage protection value of 90V.
If this value is exceeded, the controller will simply stop working until the voltage falls below 86V again.

Your pack should work fine when fully charged, as the maximum charging voltage of 87.6V is below 90V and the battery voltage will also drop further after the charger is unplugged and the controller is activated.  ;)

Thank you!

That settles it! I will be ordering my battery cells in the next few days!
