Hi I just got my 48 Volts 1000 Watts Kit and everything seems to be in good condition after travelling all the way from China. I just have one question. My controller is marked MX-24C-EB-D-V2.0 I just want to make sure that it really is for 48 Volts. Can anyone help me with this question? Michael.

Hi and welcome to the forum Michael,

The controller will work on 24, 36 or 48V, the only difference in the stated voltage ratings is the low voltage cut-off, which is not required with the GM batteries as they have their own integral cut-off device.

I just hope they don't assume we are all using their batteries.

I am using NiMH and need to keep from falling below 39 volts or so.

It would be nice to be able to adjust the cut-off voltage.

I just got mine and it too has a 24 in the model number.

I am NOT using GM batteries but rather NiMH.

How do I set  a higher cut-off voltage? Huh

I do not know where to buy, but I know that there is this swith:

It is a low voltage swith, I think it turn off when you have a low voltage. You coul use one or control you voltage using a small lcd voltage reader.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the leads are supplied when you purchase just the controller.
They are usually supplied when you purchase a complete wheel kit, but a replacement set is available separately in the accessories section of the GM website for $29:

is it possible to program for ride in rear with the controller ?

If you mean can they run in a reverse direction, the BAC cruise controller did have this function, but it would not work with minimotors fitted with the internal freewheel device.

Quote
Special Features:
• Cruise Speed Control
• Motor hall sensor failure redundency (Automatically switch to sensorless control)
• Anti-theft alarm and wheel-locking by detection of vibration
• Other failures redundency (Work with failed throttle and power breaker)
• You can force it to work with higher voltages (e.g 24V controller can drive 36V and 48V motors)
• Report failure components by beeps
• Motor phase self detection and calibration
Support Forward and Reverse Control
• Excessive Current Protection
• Low Voltage Protection
• High Reliability

So according to which motor you have, it may or may not work.

Laurent,

I don't yet know what can be adjusted using the programming interface as I only saw it on the GM website today for the first time and there does not appear to be much information on it.
Hopefully we will get a reply to my post from Yao Yuan (the GM representative) with some further information.
