Golden Motor!

Create a nice 35kW motor, controller for 96V50A, set up some combination of batteries to 96v 40Ah  and create enter at a new racing category!!

This system could use some super capacitors to get more current of the regenerative braking, so they could boost the kart when needed to high A without damaging the batteries Cheesy The system could use an automatic phase shifting to get higher speeds, also.

It is a very high value market, that could bo$$t the development of high end motors!

Please!! I would sell it like hell Cheesy

Here is the video I downloaded:
http://www.teslabikes.com.br/Electric%20Racing%20Kart.mp4
From this youtube link:

ps.: It is Italian, I could understand a little, looks like low maintenance HEAVY FUN!

Best regards

Bruno,
You may have a slight problem with your calculations, as I'm not convinced the motor is large enough.

Trying to shove 4800W through a 35W motor is just asking for trouble!
Perhaps that's why your rockets keep exploding?

Alan

P.S.
What are the chances of making them street legal?
Now that really would be fun! Grin

Go Karts are way too much fun. Here in the US it is popular in resort type areas to have small tracks with them for rent and I have to admit that I have not passed many by without taking a few hot laps over the years. An electric version would be great for areas that have inclement weather patterns as you could set up a track in a warehouse type building and run year round. Use wind, solar or hydro to recharge and you would have a nice little operation going. Angel investors apply at Grin

I was thinking more in full race kart Cheesy

Those 7000W GM motor are already good for gokarts (I'm not sure, but in English when you say "gokart" is those for fun races, right?)
